known for their comedic column designed for the classified section, have joined
with Universal Press Syndicate (UPS). Beginning January 2002, The Classified
Guys column is sold and distributed to newspapers through Universal Press
Syndicate, a division of Andrews McMeel Universal.
According to Lee
Salem, Executive Vice President of UPS, "We are glad to have The Classified
Guys onboard. Their dedication to the industry is giving a boost to newspaper
classifieds." This announcement came after the growth of The Classified Guys'
column to over 110 newspapers in just 8 months.
The goal of the column
has always been to help newspapers drive classified readership and generate new
