They've done it! The
Classified Guys have split from their partnership with Universal Press
Syndicate to develop their own syndication company. This much anticipated
venture is tailored to newspaper-classified sections.
You may remember
The Classified Guys from their brilliant rise in 2000 when Duane and Todd Holze
blew away all expectations. In just nine months, they self-syndicated their
comedic advice column to 100 newspapers. Four years later they are pioneering
new products and services with the same boundless energy.
"Classified
executives have asked us for more ideas to drive readership," says Duane Holze.
"Universal's size made it difficult for us to offer the level of service and
versatility we want to provide our customers."
As their first order of
business, Duane and Todd gave their column an extreme makeover. They have a new
Q&A style format, a sleek layout and several new format options that
newspapers have been asking for. Their new product line also includes the
eagerly awaited "Ultimate Car Selling Kit."
"Better pricing and better
customer service - that's why we changed," says Todd. "We live for the
classifieds. Our name says it all. And we're excited about helping newspapers
reach higher income goals with their classified sections."
